A tasty and relaxing home remedy for coughs can be made by grinding 100 mg. of fresh ginger root into about a liter of sweet wine. Let this sit for about an hour, then strain and take three tablespoons twice a day. The taste is similar to a mulled wine, and the ginger root will boost your immune system as well as soothe the cough.
